Being part of the Hague Dental team means having a great time doing what we love. And having the opportunity to support and celebrate our charity and community partners.

Hague has a long history of engaging with the communities in which we operate, delivering on our purpose to use our resources to do good. These partnerships support deserving social causes and projects and are empowering in the short-term and sustainable in the long-term.

Our 2024 Charities

During 2023, we concluded our CSR strategy which calls for staff participation in the formal nomination of our preferred large (national) and small (local) charity each year – from the survey, the following 4 charities were selected and several fundraising initiatives and events are planned for summer 2024:
Cancer Research UK (large national charity)
Dentaid (ongoing engineering and equipment support for ‘James’, the mobile dental unit)
Finlay’s Touch (small local charity)
Foodbank (various, monthly collections)

Dentaid, The Dental Charity

Hague-hikers consisting of staff, partners, family, and service providers participated in the gruelling Yorkshire 3-Peaks 12-hour/24-mile challenge in 2023 to raise money for Dentaid The Dental Charity The event raised £9,096.45 in direct donations and £1,227.25 in Gift Aid, which will part-fund Dentaid’s mobile outreach program in Sussex.

In 2023, Dentaid’s latest Mobile Unit, named in memory of James Finlayson, was put into service. We are immensely proud to support this mobile unit with equipment fit-out and ongoing engineering. All components were sourced from used equipment that was refurbished, upcycled, serviced, and some new plastics were fitted – this supports our commitment to environmental sustainability as it reduces wastage.

Peaky Climbers

Science Week - St Dunstan's CoE Primary School, Cheam

Workplace Experience

Hague Sales Manager, James Fletcher, as part of the ‘Super Hero Peaky Climbers’, climbed Britain’s 3 highest peaks in 2023 to raise funds for Finley’s Touch, a charity that supports children diagnosed with cancer. Hague Dental supported this fundraiser and sponsored the vehicle and fuel for their challenge.

Hague engineer Jared Jones visited St Dunstan’s CoE Primary School during Science Week 2023 to tell learners more about Dental Engineering in general, and demonstrate some of the equipment developed through scientific innovation.

Workplace experience allows learners to explore different industries, job roles, and work environments, giving them the opportunity to gain insights into various career paths and understand what interests them the most. In July ’23 Hague hosted Evan Lehr and Jack Giles.
