…that we were very much at the beginning of our dental practice journey. She didn’t make me feel like I was wasting her time or apply any pressure but was simply incredibly helpful and efficient in discussing ways to help us. Needless to say I was visiting their amazing showroom just a week later. At this initial contact we hadn’t secured funding for our project, it was still very much a vision. This didn’t matter to the Hauge team, they treated us with the same respect as a fully-fledged practice and gave us as much time, patience and advice as we needed. We initially bought an ex-display dental chair and it was clear that the team are really honest, genuine people. At this stage we were very naïve and could have bought other expensive items – had Jim and Kirsty not stopped us. They advised us where and how to save money at this critical stage instead of pushing sales onto us. They know what matters to people and which aspects of a project are the most critical. Their experience is immediately apparent. Jim attended our site, a 2-hour drive away, before we had even secured the lease and helped us to plan the redesign. His knowledge was invaluable. He also gave us contacts for finance companies and people who could help us. The team worked with our builders (not an easy task by any means as it turned out), our plumbers, and electricians. They attended the site and were available immediately at every stage that we needed them. Jim even has a crazy battery on his phone so he is always contactable. At no point were we made to feel like we were being a pain (even though we probably were). Lockdown hit a couple of weeks before our install was due. Jim kept in touch the whole time and as soon as things moved again the fit continued. The lovely thing about this team is that you get a project manager, but you also know that you have Kirsty and Jim right there too. They have been proactive about supporting us with regular newsletters and advice about products – not to sell more but in fact to inform and guard against unnecessary or unproven products and panic buying. In June, the Hague team fitted our entire dental surgery and decontamination suite and associated equipment. They even re-did our plumbing when our plumbers got it wrong! We used their contact for flooring when ours let us down post-lockdown. Whenever there were any issues or snags the team responded immediately – with no arguments and no problem. Things will always go wrong in big projects but the way a company deals with issues is a true measure of their professionalism and customer service. Hague have been fantastic, and it’s safe to say our project wasn’t straightforward! Our dental chair was stored by Hague for 9 months – and at no point did they suggest charges or apply pressure. We really can’t speak highly enough of this company, their knowledge, attitude, and service. We shall certainly be using them in the future and there is no question that they will be given the full rein if and when we expand. Our sincere thanks to Kirsty, Jim and the whole team.”

… new surgery flooring which was of poor quality and was cracking. The process started with a visit to the practice by the Hague team to see the rooms and also to take some measurements and to discuss my requirements. I was then invited to the magnificent Hague Dental Supplies Showroom in Horsham. What impressed me was the clinical layout which meant I was able to see the different dental chairs in situ. Jim Hague spent a lot of time me showing me the options and discussing the chair configurations. As they had already done a site visit he was able to customise the new dental chair that I was planning to install. As mentioned the room is quite tight and with a fireplace jutting out and a restriction on where we could place the suction motor Jim’s experience was vital to have a chair that would not only fit but enhance the room. His idea of ceiling mounting the dental light was a game changer and the room has been transformed. Jim’s team started in the last weeks of May. What was impressive was the number of technicians on site to remove the old dental chair and also to dismantle the two dental chairs in the other surgeries. It was also reassuring to see the team dressed in smart uniforms, just another confirmation that the attention to detail with Hague Dental Supplies meant a quality service and final product. The builder/plumber even managed to find and solve an ongoing issue with a slow leak that I had under the one dental chair. With great difficulty, he managed to repair a pipe without too much disruption. I have replaced many dental surgery floors over the years but the quality and skill of the flooring team was unmatched in my opinion. All the surgeries have been transformed and the quality of the flooring is excellent. Jim assessed the original floor which was fitted on a 400-year-old floor and he chose the correct product to use in this situation. I have no doubt that this flooring will last for a very long time. Needless to say, the end result has transformed my surgeries into luxurious treatment rooms. The patients are very impressed and the bespoke A-dec dental chair fits beautifully. Another aspect of dealing with Hague Dental Supplies is the aftercare. The follow-up is efficient and no request is too much trouble. The technicians are highly skilled and always arrive on time to solve issues. Hague Dental Supplies keeps a copy of our keys and will deal with an equipment issue at any time, 24/7. This service is unparalleled in the industry as some of the larger groups take much longer to deal with an emergency late night callouts are not available. I know that Hague Dental Supplies will work through the night to help me with an issue. Fitting was finished on time and to a really great standard. I can safely say the surgeries looked transformed. I was so pleased. Hague arranged for training on how to use the chairs to the maximum, whilst looking after them correctly for our whole team. The support was a big component of our choice, on asking how long it would take an engineer to help sort out any problems, I was shocked, pleasantly, to hear that they could be there within hours. Amazing. In the coming years, our final 3 surgeries will need refurbing and we will be using Hague. Towards the tail end of the lockdown and before the Office of the Chief Dental Officer released its Prompt to Prepare document, dental services including ours were scrambling around trying to assess how we could return to meaningful dentistry. You were there, with your guidance and your own prompt to prepare for the future of dentistry post pandemic, which you generously shared with us. As part of our recovery programme Hague were so helpful with guiding me towards how we could reopen our clinics safely for patients and staff. Following a long and very informative discussion with yourself and Paul Churchouse, we decided to embark on having all 30+ suction units checked for pressure to establish whether we could maintain high volume suction during aerosol generating procedures. We also procured 5 Hepa air filtration units for our clinics without windows, (and undetermined air exchanges per hour figures) so we could turn around the fallow times faster and staff felt safer working in their environment. If I’m honest, Hague have always been an extension of our own NHS team and although I have high expectations from them anyway they have exceeded my expectations during the last 6 months, they always deliver, with speed, a smile and an assurance that we’re good to go. I cannot thank them enough for everything they do, particularly over the last few months during the pandemic when thelast place anyone wanted to be was in a high-risk environment and yet they were. “I was introduced to Kirsty and Jim Hague by a colleague after they had completed a full surgery redesign and install for him at Christs’ Hospital in Sussex. I had also met Jim at my previous practice where I worked as an associate whilst he kept the equipment functioning.
At that point I was at the concept planning stage of designing a new practice and Jim spent a lot of time with me talking me through different processes and design ideas. Once I had found my shop unit to set up a squat practice; before I signed the lease I involved Jim on space design & layout. My shop unit is a tight space and before I leapt into signing the lease I had to feel confident it would work as a two-surgery practice, whilst also ensuring I would meet the necessary compliance criteria. As the project moved forward I was advised on what was needed; in terms of lead time of equipment ordering and choice. Jim met me many times at 7.30 am or 7.30 pm for me to be comfortable with my choices. I was also put in contact with the many other advisors needed through Jim’s contacts. Given how stressful a complete redevelopment and build of a squat practice is, the project ran on time and on budget. I was project managing and Kyle my designer at Hague was very tolerant of my tweaks of design and need for plans to be modified. There were so many new concepts I needed to take on board and managing the IT side was challenging for me. Artur at Hague was very patient whilst helping and guiding me through the process. It was great to feel that everyone at Hague Dental understood and knew all about my project. So when I called for advice they knew me and were able to help me. The practice has now been open seven months and any follow up questions I have had have been answered no matter how simple or complex.
