Project Overview

Pure Periodontics is a leading specialist periodontal practice that relocated to new high-end premises as part of its expansion, and with the ambition to design a specialist periodontal practice that feels premium yet approachable – calm, reassuring and non-intimidating – while supporting complex clinical workflows, compliance and durability. It also needed to sit naturally within an existing high-end building, feel contemporary, and remain timeless.

We posed the following questions to Neesha Patel, Specialist Periodontist and Clinical Director:

Do you feel that Hague Dental Supplies delivered on your brief?
Yes. The design feels elevated but welcoming, complements the calibre of the building, and achieves a contemporary look without being trend-led. Most importantly, it creates a calm atmosphere that patients consistently comment on.

How has Hague helped you from design inspiration to execution?
Hague guided us from early concept and brand translation through to material selection, spatial planning, lighting intent, and detailed specifications. They helped turn inspiration into a coherent, buildable scheme that stayed true to the vision.

Which design decisions felt most strategic and transformative? Were there any innovative or unconventional ideas that stood out?

How did the design address user needs or behaviour?
It considers patient anxiety and first impressions: an inviting arrival, intuitive flow, privacy where it matters, and a calm palette/lighting that helps people settle quickly. For the team, it supports efficient movement, ergonomics, and the storage needed for a specialist setting.

How would you describe the collaboration and communication process?
Collaborative, well-structured, and responsive. They listened carefully, refined ideas quickly, and maintained clarity around decisions and priorities — which kept the design cohesive.

How did the technical detailing, documentation, and coordination support the delivery?
The drawings, schedules, and specifications made the design intent clear and achievable. Good documentation reduced ambiguity for suppliers/contractors and helped protect the quality of the final finish.

How did the inclusion of bespoke furniture enhance the design concept, functionality, and overall user experience of the space? How well was this designed and delivered?
Bespoke furniture/joinery was key to achieving a seamless, premium look while keeping the space practical and uncluttered. Hague’s design and specification ensured pieces were integrated thoughtfully (storage, proportions, lines and finishes), elevating both function and the overall experience.

How has the space changed the way people use or feel about it? Have you noticed measurable improvements?
Patients regularly comment on how calm, welcoming, and “unlike a typical clinic” it feels – which is exactly what we wanted. The team also feels more settled and prouder in a space that’s organised, cohesive, and genuinely reflects our standards and brand.

How would you describe the value of working with Hague in one sentence?
Hague created a premium yet approachable, timeless design that respects the building and supports both patient comfort and clinical functionality.
